Every custom build we start comes from a simple idea: making the hardware look as good as it plays. With the Matte White and Chrome Gold Steam Deck, we wanted to step away from the standard out-of-the-box look and create something cleaner. We started with a matte white shell to give the Deck a minimalist, fresh feel that stays low-profile in your hands.

Simple Design, Bold Accents

To keep it from looking too plain, we added Chrome Gold-finish accents for a bit of contrast. We swapped the standard inputs for gold-finish D-pads, face buttons, and menu keys. We also finished the touchpads in gold to tie the whole look together. It’s a simple combination — crisp white and reflective gold — that turns the Steam Deck into a standout piece without being over-the-top.

Your Build, Your Way

We handle the look, but the internal specs are still up to you. We want to make sure it fits how you actually play:

• LCD or OLED: Choose the classic LCD for solid battery life or the OLED model for those deeper blacks and better color pop.

• Storage Space: Pick the SSD size that fits your library so you aren't constantly managing your storage.

Better Button Feel

If you’re picky about how buttons feel, we’ve got an upgrade for that too. Standard buttons can sometimes feel a bit soft, so we offer a way to sharpen them up.

Add the Clicky Button Mod

For a more mechanical feel, we can install micro-switches under the D-pad and face buttons. It swaps the mushy press for a crisp, tactile click — it’s a small change that makes a big difference during gameplay. Just add the mod to your cart, and we’ll take care of the installation while we’re building your Deck.
